What’s new in Speed Booster Toolkit
Every version, newest first, and what it changed for you. The extension updates itself, so there’s nothing to do: your browser fetches each new version within a day or so of its release.
Dates are when each version appeared on Firefox Add-ons. The Chrome Web Store reviews each version too, which can take a little longer.

Folders, bookmarks and many chats at once
- Chat folders and subfolders in ChatGPT’s own sidebar, under “Recents & Folders”. Drag chats in, or use “Move to folder” in a chat’s menu. Folders have colours, sort by name or by hand, and every change can be undone.
- Folders and bookmarks follow you to every browser you use the extension in, encrypted on your device first. Changes from another browser show within five minutes.
- Select several chats (tick one, Shift-tick to take a run) and move, export, archive or delete them together.
- Bookmark any message, and find it again in the navigator’s Saved view.
- A panel on the right with the same folders, for when ChatGPT’s sidebar is closed or the window is narrow.
- Free accounts get 5 folders and 5 bookmarks; Pro has no limit.

4.6.1
Jumps that land
- Jumping to a message from search or the navigator goes straight there again, after a change on ChatGPT’s side.
- Messages spoken in voice mode show their words in the navigator and in search, instead of “Untitled”.
- Loading a whole chat keeps you where you were reading.
-
4.6.0
Buttons out of ChatGPT’s way
- Search, Load all and Export moved out of ChatGPT’s header into a small column of their own at the right edge, where they cover nothing.
- The navigator’s filter shows every match in the sentence it’s in, and can show only your messages or only ChatGPT’s.
- Messages in the navigator are grouped by day.
- A settings button under the navigator, for anyone who never pinned the toolbar icon.
- A change to how chats load now waits for a refresh, instead of half-applying in the open chat.
-
4.5.0
Every message exactly as ChatGPT sent it
- When a whole chat can’t be loaded in place, the extension says so and leaves the chat untouched. It used to piece the chat together itself, which could drop a message or bring back an old version of an edited one.
- New installs load 10 messages at a time.
-
4.3.1
Works on ChatGPT’s newer look
- Search, the navigator, the loading options and dark mode work on the newer ChatGPT interface some accounts got in September 2026.
- Jumping to a message that isn’t on screen yet lands in one move.
-
4.2.1
Settings on the page, and a navigator of our own
- Settings moved out of the small toolbar popup into a full panel on the ChatGPT page, with room to show the open chat and every option.
- A navigator down the right edge lists every message with who wrote it and when. Filter it and click to jump.
- A new loading option, “Only load latest messages”, opens long chats small and loads older messages one batch at a time.
- The Ctrl+F (Cmd+F) search in a chat can be switched off in settings, for anyone who prefers the browser’s.
- Get Pro for free by posting about the toolkit.
- A note when the 7-day Pro trial ends, saying what changes.
-
4.1.1
Whole chats load in place
- Load all messages fills the chat in while you read, with no reload, and search picks up each batch as it arrives.
- Choose how many messages load at a time, down to one.
-
4.0.0
Built for ChatGPT loading chats in pages
- ChatGPT started loading long chats a few messages at a time. Load all messages brings in the whole chat in one go, and “Always load all messages” (Pro) does it for every chat.
- Search inside a chat with Ctrl+F or Cmd+F, including messages that aren’t on screen.
- Export a chat as a web page (HTML), next to PDF, Markdown, text and JSON.
- A new icon.
-
3.0.1
Export
- Save any chat as PDF, Markdown, text or JSON. PDFs keep code highlighting, images and who said what.
- Pick exactly which messages to export (Pro).
- A redesigned popup and welcome.
Before version 3, the extension was Speed Booster for ChatGPT, which made long chats lighter for the browser by showing fewer messages at once. It has grown a little since.
